Frances Wilcox, age 78, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at Kindred Care in Newark.

She was a lifetime member of the Moose Lodge. Her family was the most important part of her life.

Frances is survived by her children; son, Jeff (Kim Henderson) Beckholt of Mount Vernon; daughters, Anita (Stan) McNabb of Newark, OH and Kris (Jim Pierce) Beckholt of Mount Vernon; grandchildren, Cassity (Damon) Baker, Bandi Evans, Elijah Beckholt, Ethan Beckholt, Brady (Aimee) Daughriety, Michael (Courtney) Boyd; great grandchildren, Kaden, TJ, Ruby, Mercedes, Madeline, McKenzie, Breck, Savannah, Brayden and Addy; sisters, Phyllis Sipes of California, Bette Magers of Howard, and Karen (Wayne) Gallwitz of Mount Vernon.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wilbur E. “Bill” Wilcox; sisters, Virginia Doup and Barbara Kymer.

Friends may call on Friday, June 30, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 1 at 10:30 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.

    Frannie was always an upbeat and fun person to be around. She was a Life Member of AMVETS 95 Ladies Auxiliary and was very active till a few years ago. Also a Life Member of the VFW 4027 Auxiliary
    She will be missed by both organizations.
